Do you offer weekly therapy? No. I offer EMDR Intensives because they offer a greater depth of therapeutic breakthrough and better results than traditional therapy. They help you to feel better faster in a shorter period of time.

Are sessions in person or online?I offer both! Sessions can be in person in my office in Lewisville or online for anyone in Texas. Many people prefer to meet online from the comfort of their own home. Others enjoy the connection of being in the same room together. It depends on your comfort level and what works best for you. Depending on your location, we can discuss me coming to you.

What Does An EMDR Intensive Look Like?EMDR Intensives are a powerful way to jump start your healing process. There are different options depending on your individual needs. I work using an Intensive model which means we have longer sessions and fewer appointments. This accelerated format allows us to go deeper so you can feel better faster. Option #1: EMDR Intensives You can book 2 consecutive days of EMDR therapy (3 hours each day). This is perfect for anyone who is ready for a breakthrough. Option #2: EMDR Intensives Sessions are 3 hours once a month. Some clients decide to meet with another therapist for support with day-to-day stress so we can focus entirely on processing trauma with EMDR. Option #3: Quarterly EMDR Sessions are 3 hours once a quarter (every 3 months). Some clients decide to meet with another therapist for support with day-to-day stress so we can focus entirely on processing trauma with EMDR. When you meet with a therapist for your initial consultation, they will make a recommendation for the layout of your intensive treatment.

Does This Work As Well As Weekly Therapy?Research demonstrates that EMDR intensives are as effective as weekly therapy. However, intensives allow you to condense treatment down to one week instead of attending weekly therapy for an extended period of time.

How Do I Know If An EMDR Intensive Is Right For Me?We offer a free virtual consultation to determine if this would be a good treatment option for your specific needs.

Is An EMDR Intensive Covered By My Health Insurance? No, I do not accept insurance. Due to the structure of treatment and limitations of insurance plans, these intensives are not currently covered by medical or mental health insurance. All of my services are private pay - with a credit card, FSA, or HSA. I am happy to provide you with the necessary paperwork (superbill / receipt) for you to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement for a portion of the session fee. Please know that not all insurance plans offer reimbursement for out-of-network providers and some plans may have a deductible or an allowable amount. I recommend calling the customer service number on the back of your card and speak to a representative for details about your specific plan.

What Is The Cost Of An EMDR Intensive?EMDR Intensives are typically offered in a customized format ranging from 15-30 direct hours over the course of 3-5 days. Your therapist will create a personalized plan with a cost estimate during your free virtual consultation. EMDR Intensives usually range from $1400 to $3050. Visit the EMDR Intensive Page to learn about program rates.
